E3 STEM 2019 – 20 Goals
Expansion/Integration: Work with AVHS STEM Leadership team and others to expand STEM career exploration opportunities for E3 STEM and ALL AVHS students over the next two years.
Career Counseling: Create and implement a detailed plan for 2019-20 school year that provides a clear scope and sequence for students.
Mentoring: Continue to grow the mentoring program and make sustainable model.
Internships: Continue to expand work experiences including internships.
Tutoring: Modify tutoring program to focus on tutoring in math. Work to make sustainable post-grant. Integrate into courses and programs.
Increased parent involvement: more opportunities to be involved in the STEM activities (field trips, school events, etc.); increased awareness of college course options; more opportunities for parents contribute their skills through work experience activities; increased parent volunteer opportunities.
E3 STEM Program Awareness: Create more awareness of E3 STEM programming from AVHS for sustainability by involving staff/administrators more in the program.
Fab Lab: Continue to expand the use of the fab lab and build sustainable model for post-grant period.
Expose students more to post-secondary college and career options.
